Charlie’s passion for meticulously beautiful hair has made him one of Pleij’s most sought after new talents. He sees each head of hair like a blank canvas, waiting to be transformed into vibrant art.

Originally from Canton, Ohio, Charlie has been doing hair for over 10 years, and his recent training under the intense scrutiny of our owner and acclaimed hair artist, Tiché Florence, has enabled Charlie to perfect his craft. A perfectionist who aims for nothing shy of excellence, he continues to enrich and expand his talents and product knowledge through ongoing and continuous education.

Known for his ability to intuitively create wearable haircuts (in all hair textures) that emphasize bone structure, compliment body proportions, and account for hair texture suitability, as well as his depth in trendy, precise, and lived-in cutting styles which combined guarantees each client their own signature look.

With an extensive knowledge in the art of texture, Charlie specializes in smoothing treatments that alter the curl pattern, reducing frizz and smoothing out unwanted kinks and curls creating hair that is more manageable. His additional specialties include modern cuts and color techniques + multidimensional color, techniques through which he creates healthy, customized hair that enhances her clients’ natural beauty.

Charlie has an innate gift of engagement that sets his clients at ease encouraging them to be themselves. He strives to assist his clients in becoming the very best version of themselves and executes each look with artistry and vision ensuring each client leaves the salon not only feeling beautiful and confident, but with a smile on their face.
