Using a special hand-held tool, dermaplaning gently removes the micro-thin top layer of dead skin cells that sit atop your skin. In addition to clearing clogged pores and peach fuzz, dermaplaning allows the ingredients within skin care products to penetrate more deeply, accelerating your skins’ ability to retain the activating agents.
IS DERMAPLANING RIGHT FOR ME?
A dermaplane treatment on its own will result in soft, smooth, and luminous skin. You’ll notice immediate improvements in texture and clarity, and your makeup will glide on like never before! But for the BEST results combine it with our other targeted facial treatments to boost their efficacy AND your at home skincare!
Additional benefits of dermaplaning include:
• Removes soft facial hair that traps dirt and oils
• Promotes smoother skin
• Reduces the appearance of acne scars
• Increases the rate of cell turnover
• Diminishes the look of fine lines
• Gives a more even skin tone
• Increases the effectiveness of skincare products
• Instant results and no downtime
This treatment is perfect for almost all skin types except those with severe rosacea and/or active acne (because it could worsen the condition). By removing the dead skin you are less likely to get fine lines and wrinkles, which is perfect for those who want to avoid aging for as long as they possibly can.
If you’ve started any antibiotics or other medications, please let us know. Avoid retinoids or retinols for at least 1 week prior to treatment if you have any skin irritation. Do not have other facial procedures, such as chemical peels, before treatment. If you have an active cold sore you will need to postpone treatment. Please inform our office if you are pregnant or nursing. If you are experiencing an active acne breakout you will need to postpone this treatment.
Following your treatment, you can immediately return to your normal activities. Your skin will have a warm, pinkish glow that will usually fade in about 30 minutes, leaving your skin looking healthy and renewed.
For the first 72 hours post treatment, your skin is more vulnerable to irritation and damage. You may find that you are sensitive to products you usually use and tolerate well. If your skin feels more sensitive than usual, cleanse with a gentle, non-acid cleanser such as Environ Mild Cleansing Lotion.
You should always wear an SPF of 30 or greater when exposed to any sunlight. While you may see visible results after the first treatment, lasting and more significant results will be seen after monthly treatments, supplemented by a recommended skin care regimen.

A typical appointment lasts 30 minutes.
There is little to no discomfort with this procedure, although you may experience slight facial redness similar to a mild sunburn for about an hour after treatment.
When performed by our qualified medical professionals, the procedure is very safe, non-invasive, and the outcomes are highly predictable.
During a dermaplaning treatment, the hand-held tool uses a sharp surgical scalpel, safely positioned, to gently scrape away the top layer of dead skin cells.
Your skin will have an immediate, radiant glow and smoother feel, but multiple treatments will be required for optimal results.
To maintain results, most patients repeat Dermaplane every 4 to 6 weeks.
Some guests may experience redness or irritation immediately after treatment, but this will shortly subside. Even those with very sensitive skin can receive this treatment with no downtime.
Part of the appeal of a dermaplane treatment is the removal of fine facial hair. Unlike waxing or threading, the hair is not removed from the root, and will continue to grow back at its normal pace.
Hair will NOT grow in faster, darker, or thicker. Dermaplaning does not affect the number of hair follicles you have or their thickness. It is important to know there are two different types of hair on our bodies, vellus hair and terminal hair. Vellus hair is most often located on our face and ear lobes and is translucent or blonde. This type of hair cannot change into terminal hair and will not come back thicker and more visible.
Facial dermaplaning costs $65, add Neck for an additional $35. We offer package pricing to boost your results and provide valuable savings.
Absolutely. Dermaplaning is a great way to keep your skin looking and feeling fresh during any stage of pregnancy!
Most likely, yes! The majority of people are good candidates for this non-invasive treatment. Patients with moderate to severe active acne may be more appropriate for other treatments or may use dermaplaning in conjunction with other procedures such as Blue Light Therapy as part of a more comprehensive care plan.
