Peptide Therapy – Ipamorelin and CJC 1295

What is Ipamorelin and CJC 1295?

The combination of the peptides Ipamorelin and CJC 1295 is effectively used for anti-aging purposes as well as those with inflammatory conditions, disease or people that have low IGF-1 levels.
Learn about the benefits of Ipamorelin and CJC 1295 and how they work together to increase the natural production of growth hormone for improved energy, fitness and overall health.

What is Ipamorelin?

Ipamorelin stimulates the pituitary gland to produce more endogenous growth hormone. With virtually no negative side effects, Ipamorelin is one of the safest, most effective forms of growth hormone (GH) restoration, widely used to support age management, disease management, sports performance and GH deficiency treatment protocols.

Many patients use Ipamorelin short term (3-6 months) for fat loss benefits and overall improvements in body composition. Ipamorelin increases fat metabolism, so when age starts to become a factor in a person’s ability to lose weight, this peptide can create a more efficient and sometimes faster process. Patients that are also physically active tend to notice even faster benefits while using Ipamorelin, as it aids recovery from workouts and allows for faster progression and typically more fat loss. Once a patient’s desired weight has been achieved, Ipamorelin use can be discontinued, and weight maintenance can be achieved through diet and lifestyle changes.

Other benefits of Ipamorelin include broad anti-aging properties, including improvements to sleep, energy, mood, bone density, immune function, and body composition. Ipamorelin can also be used to achieve a more youthful and energetic state though long-term use (6-12 months).

Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide, meaning that it is composed of five amino acids, that mimics the body’s natural GH release.  Ipamorelin is a growth hormone releasing peptide (GHRP) and analogue of the hormone Ghrelin. It induces GH release and increases the number of somatarophs(cells responsible for GH release) in a GH pulse by suppressing somatostatin.

Ipamorelin is very similar to the growth hormone releasing peptides (GHRPs) GHRP 2 and GHRP 6 in that it mimics ghrelin (the hunger hormone) and targets a specific HGH pulse. However, unlike other GHRPs, this peptide doesn’t affect the release of cortisol, acetylcholine, prolactin and aldosterone thereby minimizing side effects experienced with other GH therapies, such as increased hunger. Because there are virtually no negative side effects, Ipamorelin can be prescribed more aggressively and more frequently than other therapies without the risk of elevated cortisol and acetylcholine blood plasma levels. This helps optimize HGH levels for a longer period of time, leading to more successful health outcomes.

Ipamorelin can be taken as a subcutaneous injection or a sublingual RDT tablet taken under the tongue, and it is taken before bed to coincide with the body’s natural growth hormone spike. Because Ipamorelin is a more specific acting peptide, side effects are very uncommon, with rare occurrences of headaches or nausea.

What is CJC 1295?

CJC 1295, also called GRF 1-29,  is a 29-amino acid peptide hormone, primarily functioning as a GHRH analog.  CJC 1295 has shown promising results as a GHRH analog.

Research supports that CJC 1295 stimulates GH secretion, and can lead to a more youthful and amplified release of GH and IGF-1 with minimal effect on cortisol and prolactin levels.

This peptide generates similar increases in growth hormone secretion, but without the appetite stimulation and increase in cortisol, acetylcholine, prolactin, and aldosterone seen with other peptides in its class.

The benefits of CJC 1295 therapy include increased protein synthesis, improved recovery, reduced body fat and immune system support.

The Benefits of CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin Combined

The peptides CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin combined gives you both a GHRH (amplifier) and a GHRP (or inducer). This combination will promote the increase of GH by both increasing the strength of the pulse of GH release along with increasing the number of cells that secrete GH (somatotrophs).

This is a great option for those who are looking to promote a steady and improved release of GH to get the benefits of increases in growth hormone and subsequently Insulin Like Growth Factor -1 (IGF-1) with almost no side effects. This therapy is effectively used for anti-aging purposes as well as those with inflammatory conditions, disease or those who have low IGF-1 levels.

Benefits of Increased Growth Hormone Levels

Aging often comes with many undesirable effects on our bodies including increased fat, decreased muscle muscle mass and low energy. Some of these issues can be caused by adult growth hormone deficiency. Peptide therapies provide a healthy option to reinvigorate the natural release of growth hormone in the body and reverse the negative effects of aging.

The increased volume of GH produced by the pituitary gland causes an increase in the production of Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1) by the liver and results in several health benefits such as:

• Decreased body fat
• Increased muscle mass
• Increased strength
• Increased cellular repair and regeneration
• Improved energy & strength
• Improved quality of sleep
• Helps combat insomnia
• Increases physical and mental performance
• Enhances calcium retention
• Bone density Improves
• Improves immune function
• Improves fat burning
• Improves skin elasticity
• Aids in connective tissue repair post injury

Peptide Therapies

The peptide therapy protocols (Amino Acid Analogs) prescribed by our providers are also known as secretagogues (pronounced se-creta-gog), a substance that promotes secretion. These amino acid chains communicate with the body to produce or release growth hormone. Hence a secretagogue causes the body’s own natural processes to produce growth hormone. Secretagogues do not act as growth hormones but rather stimulate the pituitary gland to secrete your stored growth hormone. The subcutaneous injection route of growth hormone stimulation is a preferred route to help slow down age and environmental reductions in growth hormone levels.
